Write, optimize, and polish LinkedIn articles for maximum engagement and reach. This skill guides from-scratch article creation, draft optimization, compelling hooks and headlines, SEO and hashtag strategies, to readability-focused restructuring.
How This Skill Works
Technically, it operates via two workflows: writing from scratch and optimizing existing drafts. For new articles, it guides you to clarify topic, audience, and goal; choose a structure from references/article-structure.md; craft a hook with patterns from references/hooks-patterns.md; draft the body and close with a CTA, then apply SEO and hashtags from references/seo-hashtags.md. For optimization, it uses a quick checklist to assess the draft, rewrites the hook if needed, tightens structure with subheadings every 200-300 words, sharpens the CTA, and applies SEO improvements.
When to Use It
- Write a LinkedIn article from scratch on any topic and for a defined goal (educate, inspire, generate leads, or build authority).
- Optimize or improve an existing LinkedIn article draft to increase engagement and readability.
- Craft compelling hooks and headlines using proven hook formulas.
- Improve SEO and discoverability with keywords and hashtags.
- Structure or reformat an article for better readability with subheadings and scannable sections.
Quick Start
- Step 1: Clarify topic, target audience, and goal.
- Step 2: Choose a structure from references/article-structure.md and draft a hook using references/hooks-patterns.md.
- Step 3: Draft the body, finish with a CTA, and apply SEO and hashtags from references/seo-hashtags.md.
Best Practices
- Hook creates curiosity or stakes in the first 2 sentences.
- Title uses a power word or specific number.
- Paragraphs are 1-3 sentences max.
- Subheadings appear every 200-300 words to guide readers.
- Keywords appear in the title and first paragraph with 3-5 relevant hashtags.
