  • Too long for format: Split into series or reduce scope.
  • No existing content: Start with outline; use research to fill gaps.

Overview

This skill helps you create comprehensive ebooks, guides, and downloadable lead magnets with a defined chapter structure and promotional assets. It guides you from type selection and outline through writing, design, landing pages, and email sequences to drive gated-content conversions.

How This Skill Works

Start by selecting a lead magnet type, then build an outline and write chapters. Add design elements, craft landing page copy, and assemble an email nurture sequence to promote the gated resource.

When to Use It

  • When a user asks to create an ebook.
  • When a user needs a lead magnet.
  • When a user wants a downloadable guide.
  • When gated content or PDF resources are required.
  • When creating a structure for longer content like ebooks or reports.

Quick Start

  1. Step 1: Choose Lead Magnet Type based on topic, audience, and effort.
  2. Step 2: Create a content outline and chapter structure for the magnet.
  3. Step 3: Write content, design pages, craft landing page copy, and assemble the email sequence.

Best Practices

  • Define lead magnet type first based on goals and required effort.
  • Create a thorough content outline and clear chapter structure before writing.
  • Apply a consistent design brief with brand colors, fonts, margins, and recurring styles.
  • Develop landing page copy and a four-email nurture sequence aligned to the offer.
  • Use templates for quick magnets or longer ebooks and customize as needed.

Example Use Cases

  • A SaaS company releases a 20-page onboarding guide gated behind signup.
  • A marketing agency publishes a 10-step checklist as a quick-win lead magnet.
  • A B2B vendor offers a 25-page buyer's guide with diagrams and examples.
  • An e-commerce brand provides a 1-page cheatsheet with shopping shortcuts.
  • A research firm releases a 30-page industry report with a CTA to download the full whitepaper.
