How to use

Note that this repository (mcp-trader) is archived and no longer receives updates. A completely new MCP server has been released at the linked repository (maverick-mcp). The new server supersedes this project and should be used for ongoing development and deployment. To use MCP capabilities, clone the new repository and follow its README to set up and run the server. In the meantime, you can still read this repo to understand the historical context and how the tooling has evolved, but rely on the new server for actual operation and feature support.

How to install

Prerequisites:\n- Git installed on your machine\n- Access to the internet to clone repositories\n- A compatible runtime environment as specified by the new MCP server's documentation (e.g., Node.js, Python, or other runtime mentioned in the new repository)\n\nInstallation steps:\n1) Clone the new MCP server repository:\n git clone https://github.com/wshobson/maverick-mcp.git\n\n2) Change into the project directory:\n cd maverick-mcp\n\n3) Follow the installation/setup instructions provided in the new repository's README to install dependencies and configure the server. This may involve installing dependencies, building assets, and configuring environment variables.\n\n4) Start the server as directed by the new repository (the exact command will be specified in its README).\n\n5) Update your Claude Desktop configuration to point to the new server's address and port as described in the new repository.\n

Additional notes

Important: This repository is archived and superseded by a newer MCP server at https://github.com/wshobson/maverick-mcp. Do not rely on mcp-trader for production use. If you are migrating, follow the guidance in the new repository for compatibility and feature parity. If you encounter issues, refer to the new server's documentation and issue tracker for up-to-date troubleshooting. No npm package is provided for this archived server, and this field is intentionally left null.
