How to use

Turbular is a Python-based MCP server that exposes a FastAPI application to manage and query multiple databases through a single unified API. How to install

Prerequisites:

Step-by-step installation:

  1. Clone the repository

  1. Run the server (development mode with auto-reload)

Optional Docker-based development:

  • If you prefer Docker, follow the repository's Docker usage instructions (docker-compose.dev.yml) to start the development environment and PostgreSQL instance.

Note: If you maintain a local environment, ensure that any required environment variables (such as database credentials or paths for credentials) are configured as needed by your deployment.

Tips and common considerations:

  • The server exposes multiple endpoints for database interactions (e.g., /get_schema, /execute_query, /upload-bigquery-key, /upload-sqlite-file). Use these to provision data sources and run LLM-assisted queries.
