How to use
MCP Manager is a visual client designed to simplify managing MCP (Model Context Protocol) environments. It provides a graphical interface to install, configure, start, and stop MCP environments without needing to run complex CLI commands. Through the app you can oversee the lifecycle of MCP instances, adjust environment settings, and monitor status all from a single UI. Use the built-in features to install MCP runtimes, manage MCP installation/uninstallation, and control the start/stop flow of MCP services with a few clicks. The tool is intended to streamline common MCP workflows and reduce the need for manual command execution by presenting a visual workflow and configuration options in one place.
To get started, download the latest release from the project’s Releases page, run the downloaded package, and follow the on-screen prompts to set up and launch MCP environments. Once opened, you can access the MCP management pane to install necessary runtimes, configure environment variables, and manage the lifecycle of your MCP instances with the provided controls.

Additional notes
Tips and considerations:
- The MCP Manager is designed to provide a visual workflow for MCP lifecycle management, including installation, configuration, starting, and stopping MCP environments.
- If you plan to customize environment variables or runtime settings, look for the environment/configuration sections within the app’s UI.
- Ensure you use the latest release to minimize compatibility issues with macOS security features. If you run into issues launching the app, try the fix_permissions command mentioned in the installation notes.
- This project uses a modified GPL-3.0 license with additional restrictions on commercial use. Review the license in the repository for full details.
